December 9, 2021 to January 8, 2022

From the series Pain Management 2020
This series was completed just as COVID-19 was arriving in the US. The pandemic had nothing to do with the creation of this series. But things that happened in the pandemic made the series more relevant:
Opioid deaths surged, fueled mainly by illicit synthetic fentanyl; and
Benzodiazepine prescriptions surged. Often given prescriptions for more than two weeks, people who become dependent, even though taking as prescribed, potentially face a difficult and prolonged withdrawal when they stop taking.

The exhibition will open in Barcelona December 9, 2021 and close January 8, 2022. These dates are firm, no matter what is happening at that time with Covid-19.

From the organizer:
"For many years, Barcelona has been the third most important destination in Europe, after Paris and London, receiving over 9 million foreign visitors every year. We don't believe tourism will be the same. Still, we want to host the exhibition once we know we can have many visitors and all exhibiting artists are allowed to safely travel to our beautiful city to attend the opening reception and meet other photographers."
