September 15, 2017, 07:05am. These rays were visible for fifteen (15) minutes! Looking east, as the sun is rising over the Sandia Mountains. Here in Albuquerque, I have seen crepuscular rays more frequently at sunrise. The mountains provide a notched land form. Perhaps more importantly, clouds frequently form above them. The two together provide ideal conditions for occasional, but often fleeting, appearances of crepuscular rays.
